Departure: June 07th –
June 15th
Day 1. Arrive in Petropavlovsk. Meet with the guide who will accompany you to the river, check the equipment and discuss the trip. Accommodation in a city hotel.
Day 2. This very day you will be transferred to the starting of the rafting route by helicopter (about 50 minutes). Start floating and fishing. In the evening set up a tent camp.
Day 3-7. Rafting and fishing for king salmon on the Opala river. Overnight in stationary camp.
You will see untouched river banks, thick forests of dwarf cedar, stone birch and shrubbery of giant grasses. Keep your eyes open to catch a glimpse of a bear or soaring in the sky white eagle. Catch fresh fish for your dinner. Depending on the area and time of your visit you may be lucky to experience as many as seven different species of fish or some of them for sure. You may spin from the boat or from the river shore. In the spirit of conservation we use only debarbed hooks and maintain a strict catch and release policy.
Day 8. We set the camp off, and return to PKC. Accommodation at the hotel. Farewell party.
Day 9. Visiting souvenir shops and local market. Drive to the airport for your departure home.
Group size is max 10 people. Included: full board en route, bed & breakfast in the city, double accommodation, floating & camping equipment (except sleeping bags), licenses, transfers (bus, helicopter), guides, interpreter and cook services, visa support. You will be also equipped by life jackets.
Notes
- Kamchatka is conservation country, and catch-and-release is in force, using only single barbless hooks.
- You will need to bring your own tackle and fishing equipment.
